The short version
Once a booking is made, most of your money has already left us — it goes to the airline, the hotel and the visa authorities, often immediately and often on non-refundable terms. What we can return to you depends on what we can recover from them.
We will always tell you the actual position for your booking rather than a general figure.
Cancellation by you
If you need to cancel, tell us in writing as early as you can — by WhatsApp or email is fine. The earlier we know, the more there is to recover.
Any refund is calculated as the amount we recover from the airline, hotel, transport operator and visa authority, less any charges they apply and less our service charge for work already carried out. Air tickets in particular are frequently non-refundable or carry a substantial airline penalty.
Visa fees
Visa fees are paid to the authorities and are not refundable once an application has been submitted, whether or not the visa is granted.
Cancellation by us
If we cancel a confirmed booking for a reason that is our responsibility, you will receive a full refund of what you have paid us.
If a departure cannot proceed for reasons outside our control — an airline cancellation, a change in the rules for pilgrims, or a government restriction — we will recover what can be recovered and return it to you, and will offer to move you to an alternative departure where one exists.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are paid back to the person who made the payment, by the same route where possible. We do not pay refunds to a third party.
Refunds involving an airline can take several weeks, because the airline's own processing time applies before the money reaches us.
